Ostblockschlampen , also known as "The Eastblock Bitches", are a German DJ and producer duo consisting of Sophie Schäfer and Markus Lange, which has existed and been active since 2009. Their music is a mix of Dirty Dutch, EDM , Trap and Moombahton .

Markus Lange has been a producer since 2003 and has released Craft Music on labels such as Great Stuff Records Edition . Sophie Schäfer has also worked as a DJ and producer since 2007. B. on the London label Simma Records . In 2009 they founded the Eastern Bloc Sluts project . In 2010 the first EP Rude Nudes was released , and in 2011 the single Bitches from Ostblock was released digitally and physically on the New York label Coco Machete . Since then, Lange and Schäfer have toured Europe and played at various festivals such as Laundry Day (Belgium), SonneMondSterne , the Sonar Off Party in Barcelona , the Larry Tees Block series in London and the Touch the Air Festival (Switzerland).

In 2011 and 2012 they released more singles and EPs on labels such as Oh My God Its Techno Music , Top Billin , Crux , Coco Machete , Dim Mak and Police Records . They produced remixes for Steve Aoki's label Dim Mak Records or the Australian major label Vicious Recordings and remixed e.g. B. Gtronic , Will Bailey , Tommie Sunshine, and Kid Sister . In 2013 the first two parts of their album were officially released with a feature by the Brazilian baile funk artist Edu K. They also wrote the official anthem for the Sputnik Springbreak Festival. Their productions were supported by DJs such as Major Lazer , Diplo , Crookers , Fake Blood or Bloody Beetroots .

In 2015 the duo contributed a remix for Praise Abort , a single from Lindemann's debut album Skills in Pills . They joined the growing EDM scene and released the single East Clintwood, their first release on the Dutch “Spinnin 'Records” sub-label “Oxygen”. The song advanced to number 11 in the Beatport Top 100. Also in 2016 several productions appeared on smaller labels.

The song The Dab Is Dead was released on April 24, 2017 . This is based on the classic theme of the song Bitter Sweet Symphony and the claim that the trend of the so-called dab move is over. It entered the Beatport charts a few days after the release.
