The Osteroder Kreis-Anzeiger was a German daily newspaper that appeared in the district of Osterode am Harz in southern Lower Saxony.

history

In 1821 Carl Friedrich Weichelt, who owned a publishing house with a printing plant in Nordhausen, founded a printing house in Osterode am Harz . On December 18, 1821, the Hanoverian provincial government approved the publication for the Osteroder Intelligence newspaper , which he then published. This resulted in the Osteroder Allgemeine Anzeiger in 1854 and, from 1923, the Osteroder Kreis-Anzeiger . The newspaper was the official journal of the district of Osterode am Harz.

After Weichelt's death, the daily was published by his widow until 1843 and then by their sons. In 1855 Ferdinand Einschlägel took over the Osteroder intelligence paper from Friedrich Hermann Gustav Weichelt. After his death in 1882, Ludwig Giebel and Carl Oehlschlägel took over the newspaper publisher and publications with Giebel & Oehlschlägel KG . The title of the newspaper was then changed first to Osteroder Allgemeine Anzeiger, Official District Gazette and then to Osteroder Kreis-Anzeiger, Official District Gazette . The company was based at Langer Krummer Bruch 32-36.

The Osteroder Kreis-Anzeiger appeared with the information about the official circular gazette, the official ordinance gazette of the district and the city of Osterode, the proclamation gazette of the local court, the tax office and other authorities. Grubenhagener Zeitung - Osteroder Kreisblatt - Osteroder Zeitung in the head, supplemented by Osteroder Kreiszeitung with the headers Lauterberger Nachrichten , Herzberger Tageblatt and Sachsaer Tageblatt . As a supplement appeared from 1950 Unter dem Harze: sheets of the Osteroder Kreis-Anzeiger für Heimatpflege und Heimatkunde . The Osteroder Kreiszeitung was originally founded by Georg Oertel in 1882 and taken over by Paul Krösing - Bahnhofstrasse 10 - in 1916; it was discontinued in 1936.

The Osteroder Kreis-Anzeiger and the Bad Lauterberger Tageblatt were last in competition with the Harz Kurier and both gave up in 1997 without the newspapers being sold to other interested parties. On July 31, 1997 the last edition of the Osteroder Kreis-Anzeiger was published . At that time it belonged to the Braunschweiger Zeitung .
