Location and surroundings
The summit is near the Suchy Wierch Waksmundzki , from which it is separated by the Wyżnia Filipczańska Przełęcz mountain pass , and the Zadnia Kopa Sołtysia , from which it is separated by the Zadnia Przełęcz Sołtysia mountain pass , in the Tatra National Park .
The peak lies above the Dolina Filipka and Pańszczyca valleys . The summit is forested.

A hiking trail crosses near the summit:
- ▬ The green marked hiking trail leads from the Wierchporoniec mountainover the peak to the Rusinowa Polana mountain pasture,to the Gęsia Szyja peak and further into the Dolina Gąsienicowa valley.
- ▬ The red marked hiking trail leads from the Zakopan district of Kuźnice over the summit to the Meerauge mountain lake.
