Location and surroundings
Below the summit are the valleys Dolina Suchej Wody Gąsienicowej in the north and Dolina Waksmundzka and Dolina Filipka in the south.
From the top of Koszysta is Gęsia Szyja through the mountain pass Rowień Waksmundzka separately. Below the summit lies the Rusinowa Polana mountain pasture .
etymology
The name Gęsia Szyja can be translated as goose neck . It alludes to the shape of the summit, which reminded the Góralen of a slim goose neck.
tourism
The Gęsia Szyja is popular with hikers, as it is easy to climb. A hiking trail leads from the Rusinowa Polana mountain pasture to the highest point of the summit .

A high path leads to the summit:
- ▬ The green marked hiking trail from the Wierchporoniec mountainover the Goły Wierch peakto the Rusinowa Polana mountain pastureand on to the Dolina Gąsienicowa valley. The Schronisko PTTK w Dolinie Roztoki and Schronisko PTTK Murowaniec refuges are suitable as a starting point.
