Below the massif are the Waksmunder Valley and Pańszczyca Valley . The massif is bordered on the Kreuzsattel ( Krzyżne ) of the massif of Walachenkopfs ( Wołoszyn ) to the east and to the massif of Buchentaltürme ( Buczynowe Turnie ) in the south.

etymology
The Polish name Koszysta can be traced back to the Polish word kosić , which means to mow . This can be due to the fact that the slopes of the massif were mowed during alpine farming.
Flora and fauna
The tree line is at an altitude of 1600 meters. The Breitkogel is a retreat for bears, chamois and marmots. Before 1932 the massif belonged to the Uznański family and was part of the Hala Waksmundzka mountain pasture . In 1932 the Polish state acquired the area. It has been a strictly protected nature reserve since 1936 and is thus protected longer than the Tatra National Park , which was only founded in 1954.
tourism
The area has been a strict nature reserve since 1936. It is not accessible to hikers.
