The Kleine Breitkogel ( Polish Mała Koszysta ) is a mountain in the Polish High Tatras with 2014 m in the massif of the Breitkogel . The mountain belongs to the municipalities of Poronin (district Murzasichle ) on the western slope and Bukowina Tatrzańska (district Brzegi ) on the eastern slope in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in the Powiat Tatrzański district .
Location and surroundings
Below the summit lie two valleys, the Pańszczyca valley in the west and the Waksmunder valley in the east.
North of the Kleiner Breitkogel lies the rear goose neck ( Gęsia Szyja ) and south of the Große Breitkogel ( Wielka Koszysta ).
etymology
The Polish name Mała Koszysta can be translated as Little Koszysta . The name comes from the fact that the Mała Koszysta is the lowest peak in the main massif of the Koszysta .
Flora and fauna
Despite its height, the Kleine Breitkogel has a colorful flora and fauna. Numerous plant species occur, especially high alpine flowers and grasses. In addition to insects and mollusks and birds of prey, bears, wolves, lynxes, marmots and chamois also visit the summit.

tourism
The Kleine Breitkogel has been a strict nature reserve since 1936. It is not accessible to hikers. There are no marked hiking trails leading to the summit. Former hiking trails have already overgrown.
