history

The ship was built in 1961 at the Warnow shipyard in Warnemünde and was originally called Ostseeland . On April 4, 1974 it was renamed Ostseeland II because of a new building with the same name (→ Ostseeland ) . In 1981 it was completely modernized and received a. a. a new machine. Its use as a state yacht did not end until 1990 when the GDR was dissolved.

Remains in the GDR after reunification

After the reunification in the GDR , the ship was briefly used as a charter ship in the White Fleet after October 1990 . The yacht was then sold to C. and H. Heuvelmann in the Netherlands on March 20, 1991 . It later went to an unknown owner as Red Sea Magic .
