East side climate

East side climate describes humid macroclimates in the subtropical climate zone with sufficient rainfall all year round.

The temperatures are warm-moderate with a maximum in summer . The winters are relatively cool. The precipitation falls, determined by the sea-damp trade winds , all year round, but especially in summer. In summer, warm and humid winds that come from the sea and are known as monsoons in East Asia determine the climate. In winter, cool and dry winds blow from the continent . The east side climate is often described as very pleasant. It determines the eco-zone of the always humid subtropics . On climate maps according to the Köppen and Geiger climate classification , this climate is abbreviated with the letters Cfa .

This type of climate is found particularly in East Asia and in East South America .

Similarly, the subtropical west side climate is particularly dry, as the determining trade wind in this case comes from the landside and is therefore dry and heated up. For example, the Mediterranean central California faces the east side, much more humid Virginia in the same geographical latitude, or large parts of the Mediterranean region of western Eurasia is the east side laurel forest area of southern China .
