Osvald Chlubna
Osvald Chlubna (also: Oswald Chlubna ; born June 22, 1893 in Brno , Austria-Hungary ; † October 30, 1971 there ) was a Czech composer.
Life
Leoš Janáček's student taught at the Brno Conservatory between 1919 and 1935 and from 1953 to 1959.
Chlubna composed seven operas , three symphonies , symphonic poems , a piano and a cello concerto, chamber music works, choirs and songs . He also completed Janáček's operas Šárka and From a House of the Dead and his Danube Symphony .
