Osvaldo Antonio Ovejero (born December 20, 1960 in Tucumán , Argentina ) is an Austrian - Argentine conductor , composer and cellist .

Life

Ovejero studied violoncello , clarinet and piano at the Conservatory and the University of Music in Tucumàn. In 1978 he graduated with success in music theory . In 1980 further studies as cellist, composer and conductor followed in Austria at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz , as well as at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna and most recently at the Vienna University of Music ( University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna), where he graduated with honors in the cello category in 1989. In 1990 he came to Switzerland and continued his studies as a composer and conductor at the Musik Seminar Gesellschaft Bern, where he now teaches, and also graduated with honors in both subjects. In 1991 he founded the MSG Chamber Orchestra Bern (Musik Symphonie Global - Chamber Orchestra Bern), which is used for certain projects (rarely heard works and world premieres). In addition to radio and television recordings , he had numerous concerts with the MSG Chamber Orchestra Bern (CH) and as a guest conductor in Argentina and the USA, among others with The Chicago Philharmonia . He has also made numerous appearances and tours as a cellist and with choirs from various ensembles, through Argentina, Austria, Israel, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and the USA. His repertoire as a conductor includes concert works as well as major stage works through all epochs and styles. He currently conducts three mixed choirs in the Bern region.

As a composer (founder of nine-tone music ), he expresses his creative work in works for solo, chamber music, orchestra, choir and stage works. Many of his works have premiered in Austria, Switzerland, Israel and Argentina. Characteristic: No use of twelve-tone music, but use of new, self-created nine-tone music with four- and five-tone chords.
