Esther Feingold
Esther Feingold (born October 18, 1965 in Bern ) is a Swiss soprano and saxophonist .
Life
Feingold studied solo singing in Bern as well as jazz saxophone and composition at the Freiburg Conservatory , where she graduated with success in 1986/87. Further vocal studies took place in Zurich , at the Salzburg Mozarteum and at the Vienna State Opera . She has won international competitions and has made radio and television recordings as a solo soprano in Argentina, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. She makes regular guest appearances as a solo singer with orchestra, among others with the Musik Symphonie Global - Chamber Orchestra Bern (CH), the Chicago Philharmonia Orchestra (USA), Orquesta Estable de Tucumàn, Orquesta Sinfonica de Bahia Blanca (Arg.) And at numerous recitals in Austria, Israel, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, USA and Argentina. She also sings symphonic gospel in a duet with Sandy Patton .
As a saxophonist she made guest appearances with various formations in New York, Chicago, Vienna as well as in Montreux and Lugano. Her work is expressed in works for solo, jazz quartets and big band. Her diverse musical training as well as her vocal technique and voice quality enable her to sing in the styles of opera , classical music and jazz . Her repertoire ranges from high coloratura to lyrical-dramatic roles.
