Otfrid-Reinald Ehrismann

Otfrid-Reinald Ehrismann (born June 16, 1941 in Mainz ) is a German Germanic Medievalist .

Life

Ehrismann studied German and history from 1961 at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . In 1968 he was promoted to Dr. phil. with the dissertation “ People. A word of history from the end of the 8th century to the Baroque " doctorate . In 1972 he completed his habilitation at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . Ehrismann is a recognized expert on the Nibelungenlied . His main research interests are German Medieval Studies and the work of Friedrich Hebbel .
