Otto Karl Stollberg
Otto Karl Stollberg (born October 29, 1883 in Metz ; † January 29, 1948 ) was a German publisher .
Life
Otto Karl Stollberg studied in Strasbourg, Munich and Nancy and in 1905 went to the Magdeburgische Zeitung publishing house . In 1912 he switched to the North German printing and publishing company. The company was taken over by the publisher Reimar Hobbing in 1917 and Stollberg became the sole manager. Together with Hobbing, he redesigned the Norddeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung to become the Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung .
When Hugo Stinnes took over the publishing house after Hobbing's death , Stollberg left the company in 1920. He founded his own publishing house, Otto Stollberg Verlag GmbH Buch- und Zeitschriftenverlag Berlin. He also founded the newspaper Der Deutsche . When his company was taken over by Deutsche Verlagsgesellschaft, Stollberg was a co-owner and reviewed the newspapers published by Deutsche Tageszeitung AG.
During the Nazi era , Stollberg published a large number of Nazi publications in his publishing house. Thus appeared the German leader lexicon 1934/35 in its publisher. For the German Labor Front , Stollberg published the newspaper Der Deutsche - the daily newspaper of the German Labor Front , and for the Reich Chamber of Fine Arts the official journal of the Professional Association for Architecture entitled Die Baugilde - Journal of the Association of German Architects .
