Otto Pendl
Otto Pendl (born October 29, 1951 in Trumau , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party ( SPÖ ). From 1998 to 2017 he was a member of the National Council .
biography
After completing compulsory school, Otto Pendl learned the profession of high voltage fitter and has been a prison guard in Vienna since 1975.
Pendl has been mayor of the market town of Trumau since 1998 , district party chairman of the SPÖ Baden, since September 17, 1998 Member of the Austrian National Council and President of ASBÖ Lower Austria, and since 2009 Vice-President of the Federal Association of ASBÖ .
Pendl achieved greater prominence in autumn 2012 as the SPÖ parliamentary group leader in the investigative committee to clarify allegations of corruption .
On May 17, 2013 it was announced that Otto Pendl will resign from his position as mayor after the celebrations for the 875th anniversary of the market town of Trumau. He will remain a member of the National Council and the leading candidate for the constituency for the upcoming National Council election.

- 2017: Commander's Cross of the Province of Burgenland
