Otto Porsche
Otto Maria Porsche (born June 16, 1858 in Gabel , † June 11, 1931 in Munich ) was a German painter .
Life
As the son of a k. and k. Born in the tax office, Porsche studied art at the General Drawing and Applied Arts School in Prague with Emil Reynier and with Gabriel von Hackl and Wilhelm von Diez at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . In 1881 he became an honorary boy of the Carolina Prague fraternity .
After completing his studies, Porsche became a royal Bavarian professor at the Munich Art Academy. He was a representative of the Munich school . Figure painting, still life and illustrations were among his main areas. He also worked as an interior designer.
He exhibited his works regularly in Munich's Glaspalast , but also internationally, for example at the 1912 International Art Exhibition in Venice . His works are in numerous collections, including the Kurhaus Aachen and the Hotel Drei Mohren in Augsburg .
