Otto Reislant (born May 31, 1883 in Leipzig , † January 28, 1968 ) was a German football player . On May 16, 1910, the attacking player, who mostly acted as a center forward or half-forward, made his only international appearance for Germany in Duisburg .

Career

societies

Reislant played for SC Wacker Leipzig from the age of 14 . With the club he won the Central German Championship on April 19, 1908 with a 3-2 win after extra time against Viktoria Magdeburg . In the following final round of the German soccer championship he was also active in the two games against VfR 1897 Breslau (3: 1) and in the semi-finals against the eventual German champions Viktoria 89 Berlin (0: 4). With his teammates Hans Riso and Erich Albrecht , he could not prevent the Berliners from entering the final. With Willi Knesebeck , Paul Hunder , Otto Dumke , Willi Worpitzky and Helmut Röpnack , Viktoria 89 was simply too strong.

National team

On May 16, 1910, the offensive player, who mostly acted as a center forward or half-forward, made his only international appearance for the senior national team in Duisburg . The game against the Belgian national team was lost 3-0. The DFB had screwed up the scheduling - the day before the final of the German championship between the Karlsruher FV and Holstein Kiel took place - and there were not enough players in Duisburg. Therefore, four players and a substitute player had to be selected from the audience. So the defeat is not surprising.

Others

The striker was extremely versatile. He won over 200 prizes in tennis, played ice and field hockey for the Leipziger SC and was in 1903 over 3000 m Gaumeister in athletics. After his active career, he worked as a publisher and bookseller.
