Otto Storr

Otto Storr (born September 28, 1907 in Graz , † October 19, 1990 in Munich ) was an Austrian actor and operetta singer with a tenor buffo voice .

Act

Otto Storr received his acting and singing training in Graz. In the early 1950s he came to the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz in Munich. The artist , who was appointed chamber actor , was one of the most popular members of the ensemble for decades. His (comedic) star roles in operetta included u. a. the frog (bailiff) in Die Fledermaus , the Drake in Der Bettelstudent and the father Johann Elßler in The Dancer Fanny Elßler .

Otto Storr also worked in smaller, mostly comedic roles in several films, for example in I often think of Piroschka , Snow White and the Seven Jugglers , Das Wirtshaus im Spessart , Honeymoon in Hell or in shallow sex comedians like When the plump pugs hop .

He had a record success with the couplet from the operetta Drei Wünsche , by Carl Michael Ziehrer , The Leopoldin is so thin, thin / back: Schön am i net .
