Honeymoon in Hell is a German film drama from 1960. Directed by Johannes Kai , Christiane Nielsen plays the leading roles as the seductive siren and Jan Hendriks as the criminal.
action
A wide variety of passengers are on board a Super Constellation on the flight from Mexico to Caracas, including the felon Mario Bertelli, who is to be transferred to a Venezuelan penitentiary and there (presumably) waiting for his execution. Luck in misfortune (for Bertelli): On the restless flight, the machine goes into a tailspin and crash-lands in the middle of a tropical island far away from everything. The flight captain and some passengers, including the industrialist Bert Frank, the much older husband of his wife Ellen, are killed. After having set up on the lonely island with the rescued food supplies, Bertelli, who fortunately also got rid of his guard (for him), shows who is the Lord in Paradise.
He orders the survivors around and, with the revolver of his dead police escort in hand, quickly begins to establish a reign of terror. With the seductive, blonde siren Martine Duval, a lascivious and busty dancer, he soon begins a passionate affair. Martine's portable radio survived the crash, but her island lover has no interest in using the device to radio for help. Instead, Bertelli begins to decimate the crowd of survivors with his firearm. But Martine soon proves to be a worthy opponent. What nobody knows: With the lawyer Henry Boone, another passenger survived, who is very unscrupulous, because he has a murder on his conscience. And this man is in no way inferior to Bertelli in terms of determination and severity. In the end, the police take Boone, unmasked by Bertelli, into custody.

Reviews
"All in all: Kintopp."
Paimann's film lists found that the film had a "plot with superficially embodied characters" glued together according to better American models.
The lexicon of international films states: "Primitive adventure film, illogical and brutal, speculative and saturated with pseudo-religious wisdom."
