Otto Warneyer

Karl Otto Warneyer (born May 7, 1867 in Dresden , † November 3, 1941 in Leipzig ) was a German judge .

Life

In 1890 he was sworn in to the Saxon sovereign and became a trainee lawyer at the district court of Schandau . In 1896 he came to the district court in Dresden as an assistant judge. In 1898 he became a magistrate there. A year later he left the civil service and became a lawyer, simultaneously admitted to the Dresden District and Regional Court. Another year later he returned to the civil service as a district judge and was employed in Leipzig and as an assistant judge at the Dresden Higher Regional Court. In 1906 he was appointed district judge. In 1913 he was promoted to the higher regional judge in Dresden. In mid-November 1919 he came to the Reichsgericht. He was active in criminal and civil senates of the Reich Court.

Since 1903 he published the "Yearbook of Decisions on the Civil Code and the Ancillary Laws", also known as the "Warneyers Yearbook". Together with Eduard Müller (1854–1908) from 1906 to 1912 he worked on the official reference work of the Reichsgericht.
