Otto Weisser

Otto R. Weisser (born April 19, 1937 in Zurich ) is a Swiss photographer .

Life

Otto R. Weisser grew up in Zollikon . He started taking photos as a young man. After graduating from the École supérieure de commerce (commercial college) in Lausanne and further training as an advertising assistant, he worked in London as an account executive at the Ajax new Business advertising agency . After military service in Switzerland with further training as an officer, he was appointed by his old employer in London to New York as an assistant in the production of films. After he was interim managing director of a commercial film company in London, he became director of international TV productions at Intertel in 1970. In Munich he met his future wife Slivka, who later became Miss Switzerland .

He began working as a professional photographer in the 1970s. One of his teachers was Gianni Vescovi, a Formula 1 photographer from Italian-speaking Switzerland. He received the order for the Marlboro calendar “Cars & Girls”, which brought him to glamor and from 1973 to erotic photography. Another of his teachers was David Hamilton . Otto Weisser developed his characteristic style, which made him a world-famous nude photographer . His photos were published in Lui , Penthouse and Playboy , among others . His works were z. Some also presented at art exhibitions.

He has lived and worked in Brazil since 1992 . In 2003 he married the Brazilian Daniela de Sosa, who was born in 1987.

Since 2004 he has concentrated on digital art photography. He also produces and films video clips for fashion TV, as well as music clips and lifestyle reports.

His 2007 projects include a large-format illustrated portfolio book about Daniela de Sosa.
