Otto Wiesinger (born July 13, 1879 in Ptuj , † April 6, 1962 in Vienna ) was an Austrian infantry general .

Otto Wiesinger in 1897 from the infantry cadet school Carlstadt retired as a cadet warrant officer and infantry - regiment placed 91st With the rank of lieutenant since 1898, he attended the war school from 1902 to 1904. From December 20, 1919 to November 11, 1918, he was chief of staff of the 50th Infantry Division. After being taken over by the Austrian Armed Forces , he worked in the Federal Ministry of Defense in 1920 in the property demobilization department. He was appointed colonel on January 1, 1921. In 1923, Wiesinger was appointed group leader in Department 6, and on May 18, 1925, Wiesinger was transferred to the 2nd Brigade Command in Vienna as an assigned officer. This was followed by promotion to major general on October 29, 1925 . After a good year as an assigned officer, Otto Wiesinger took over as commandant of the 2nd Brigade and the City Command of Vienna from his predecessor Major General Paul Hofmann on August 1, 1926.

Shortly before the end of his military career, he took over command of the Blue Party with the 2nd and 3rd Brigade and the Schnellbrigade on the occasion of the major troop exercise near Vienna on September 3rd and 4th, 1930.

Otto Wiesinger was retired on February 23, 1931 with the rank of general of the infantry .

After his retirement Otto Wiesinger published various military textbooks, including Das Orientkorps on Bosnian-Herzegovinian troops in World War I.
