Otto von Zwiedineck-Südhorst
Otto Wilhelm Helmut von Zwiedineck Edler von Südhorst (born February 24, 1871 in Graz ; † August 4, 1957 in Graz) was an Austrian economist and constitutional law teacher .
Live and act
Zwiedineck-Südhorst was the son of Hans von Zwiedineck-Südhorst . From 1902 he was professor of economics at the Technical University of Karlsruhe . In the academic year 1912/13 he was rector.
In 1920 he moved to Breslau. In 1921 he took over - as the successor to the late Max Weber - the professorship (full professorial position) for political economy at the University of Munich . He taught there until 1938 and again from 1945. In 1940 he was elected a member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences .
Zwiedineck-Südhorst was a representative of the historical school of economics. In his academic work he mainly dealt with questions of economic theory, methodology and social and wage policy .
