The Ourse is a river in France that runs in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Occitania region . It rises initially under the name Ruisseau de Seuès , east of Mont Né (2147 m), in the municipality of Ferrère and generally drains in a north-easterly direction through the Barousse valley . After passing the village of Ferrère , the river is then called Ourse de Ferrère and takes in the sister river Ourse de Sost coming from the right at Mauléon-Barousse . From here it bears the definitive name Ourse and, after a total of 25 kilometers, flows into the Garonne as a left tributary in the municipality of Loures-Barousse .
