Out Now Music is a record label from Cologne founded in 1998 .

Out Now Music Production was founded in 1998 by the two composers, producers and musicians Frank Meyer, alias Sam T. and Dieter Müller alias Dee Mullen in Cologne. In 1998 they took over the studios of the EMI Group , where they worked until 2000. There they produced the solo album Pictured Within by Jon Lord (Deep Purple), Guildo Horn 's single Wunder there is always again , Nils Julius and Liz Baffoe 's single Kleine Seen and the single Love will tear us apart by the artist The King . Another project was the single production FC jeff jas for 1. FC Köln with Guildo Horn, Wolfgang Niedecken and Stefan Raab . In 1999 Out Now Music founded the music publisher Edition Out Now in close cooperation with EMI Publishing . In 2001 Out Now Music moved into new studios in Cologne-Ehrenfeld.

Collaboration with Wonderwall

In 2000, the producers became aware of the then unknown girl band Wonderwall and two years later released the first Wonderwall single Witchcraft on Warner Music , which achieved an initial success in the charts and media.

With Just More , Out Now Music was partly responsible for the breakthrough of Wonderwall. The single rose to number 2 in the German single charts. The album reached number 3 in the German album charts. The album and single both achieved gold status. By 2005, Wonderwall had sold more than 700,000 records. In 2004, Frank Meyer and Dieter Müller wrote and produced, together with Hans Zimmer, the song Touch the Sky for the children 's cartoon film Laura's Star , which has sold around 1.8 million copies on DVD to date.

More Achievements

In 2005 Out Now Music produced the band Giants Club, known from the RTL show hit giant, in close collaboration with Parklane Music . In 2006 they received the gold award from the SuperRTL band Yoomiii , for which Frank Meyer and Dieter Müller wrote and produced three tracks for the album. In the same year Heidi Klum recorded the Christmas single Wonderland with Out Now Music . It was composed by Dieter Müller and Frank Meyer, as well as by Tinseltown. Production took place in Los Angeles and Cologne. The single rose to number 11 in the German single charts and became a hit in many European countries.

In 2007 Out Now Music and the author Hans Gerd Raeth published the first two episodes of their children's radio play series Weenie und seine Freunde . A sci-fi series for children in which Weenie and her friends Bolle and Jo experience adventures in the spirit world. With the help of McDonald’s , the radio play achieved a circulation of 1.2 million copies. In the same year Out Now Music wrote and produced the theme song Life's a miracle for the children's cartoon film The Little Dodo . To do this, they worked with the No Angels , who sang the title song.

In 2009 the theme music for the "German Comedy Award" was co-produced with the company Bionic Ballroom. In addition, Out Now Music produced the music for the national Douglas campaign Netherlands.

Others

In 2007 Out Now Music founded the band CultureBox . The debut album followed in mid-2008. The band's highest chart entry was 67th in the German single charts.
