The King (* 1968 in Belfast as James Brown ) is a British singer.

Career

James "The King" Brown, father of five and a postman by trade, initially acted as an Elvis impersonator. After a contract with EMI he has released six albums as “The King”, on which he was in the style of Elvis Presley and with a very similar voice a. a. Sings cover versions of songs by famous artists such as John Lennon , Janis Joplin , Jimi Hendrix , Kurt Cobain , Freddie Mercury and Elvis Presley. 160,000 copies of the first Gravelands album were sold. His first two albums are limited to songs by already deceased artists or bands of which at least one member has died ( Rolling Stones , Red Hot Chili Peppers ).

For the film Lonely Street Brown lent actor Robert Patrick his singing voice for his role as Mr. Aaron. These songs are included on the album Return to Gravelands . For the tour originally planned for 2020 but canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the singer digitally published a collection of six new recordings
