State Monument Office Saarland
The Landesdenkmalamt Saarland is the monument authority of the federal state of Saarland and fulfills all sovereign tasks in the field of monument preservation and archaeological preservation . In addition, research into the cultural heritage is another area of work for the State Monuments Office.
history
The Saarland Conservatory Office had existed since 1920 . This resulted in the State Monument Office on January 1, 2005, and was subordinated to the Saarland Ministry for the Environment. It has been affiliated with the Ministry of Education and Culture since 2012. The seat of the authority was initially the district building in Saarbrücken , its new seat has been in the rooms of the former Reden mine in Schiffweiler since January 2008 .
