Outi Kirsti Johanna Mänenpää (born February 24, 1962 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish actress .

Life

Outi Mänenpää completed an acting degree at the Helsinki Theater Academy from 1984 to 1988 . She then worked in numerous film and television productions, especially in her home country. She worked several times with the director Aki Kaurismäki . In Germany she became known in 1998 through the award-winning film Migratory Birds ... Once after Inari with Joachim Król , Peter Lohmeyer and Nina Petri , among others . Overall, she was awarded the national Finnish film prize Jussi three times for best actress , each for her roles in Lomalla (2000), Kukkia & sidontaa (2004) and Musta jää (2007).

Mänenpää is married to the Finnish film producer Kai Nordberg, who is six years his junior , and bears his family name. In addition to her native Finnish, Outi Mänenpää also speaks English, Swedish and German.
