Laina Morris ( dt. About Overly affectionate girlfriend ) is an internet - art figure and phenomenon , the first time in a video on the video platform YouTube , published on the channel Laina , was seen on June 6, 2012. The video was originally submitted for a competition, the aim of which was to compose a "counterpart" of the Justin Bieber hit song Boyfriend with the given title Girlfriend and to film yourself singing. The video shows a young woman, with a fixed smile at the camera staring as she sings about her boyfriend on Facebook to stalk .
In 2019 Morris announced her departure from YouTube and published a video on July 25, 2019 in which she stated that she will no longer publish videos. In the video, she spoke about her personal history of depression and anxiety going on behind the scenes.

On December 19, 2014, Laina Morris' YouTube channel had over 1,200,000 subscribers and a total of over 130,000,000 views. Her username is still "wzr0713", and her first name "Laina" has been used as a channel name since her YouTube partnership. The Reddit website contributed in large part to the success of the video , on which the video was viewed over 170,000 times after the first day.
As a result of the success of the video, the “Overly Attached Girlfriend” became a meme that shows the young woman's macro while she smiles rigidly, almost manically, into the camera.
