Pío Bello Ricardo

Pío Bello Ricardo SJ (born May 5, 1921 in Guarenas , † July 27, 2003 ) was Bishop of Los Teques .

Life

Pío Bello Ricardo joined the religious order of the Jesuits and was ordained a priest on July 30, 1951 .

Paul VI appointed him on May 23, 1977 auxiliary bishop in Los Teques and titular bishop of Thucca Terebenthina . The Archbishop of Caracas, Santiago de Venezuela , Cardinal José Humberto Quintero Parra , consecrated him bishop on July 10th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Giovanni Mariani , Apostolic Nuncio in Venezuela , and Juan José Bernal Ortiz , Archbishop ad personam of Los Teques.

The Pope appointed him Bishop of Los Teques on January 31, 1981. On December 2, 1995, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
