Pötschach is a locality and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Kapfenberg in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district in Styria .
Pötschach is located southeast of the Böhler-Werk industrial park and south of the Semmering expressway .
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 45 building areas with 88,712 m² and 32 gardens on 89,469 m² in the cadastral community of Pötschach , in 1989/1990 there were 61 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 150 and in 2009/2010 there were 91 buildings on 154 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 123 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 99 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 79 hectares and 118 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 62 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 114 hectares. The average soil climate in Pötschach is 33 (as of 2010).
