PAK4 is an enzyme that is encoded by the gene of the same name and belongs to the serine / threonine protein kinases . It plays a role in a variety of functions, including signal transduction pathways , such as cytoskeletal regulation , cell migration , cell growth , cell proliferation, and cell survival.
family
PAK4 belongs to the family of p21-activated kinases , which can be roughly divided into two subfamilies, of which the first is activated by binding to activated CDC42 and RAC1 and the second is not. The first consists of the enzymes PAK1 , PAK2 and PAK3 and the latter in addition to PAK4 also consists of PAK6 and PAK5 .
