Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

In the regular season, the three teams played between 29 and 30 games each. The two first-placed teams then met each other for the championship title in two-legged matches, with the better goal difference from both games being decisive. In the regular season, the league played in a joint game plan with the teams of the Western Canada Hockey League . Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.

Season course

After the PCHA champion had to compete against the champions of the Western Canada Hockey League in a qualification for the Stanley Cup since the previous year , before it went against the champions of the National Hockey League , the two leagues came closer together because they now have one introduced a common game plan. This was accompanied by an adjustment of the rules of the PCHA to those of the two competitive leagues, the NHL and WCHL. Among other things, the position of the rover was abolished and the number of players per team was reduced from seven to six. The games between PCHA and WCHL ended with 15: 9 wins in favor of PCHA. In the PCHA playoffs Vancouver prevailed with 5: 3 goals against Victoria. Both teams had changed their names to Maroons (Vancouver) and Cougars (Victoria) before the season.
