The defending champion was Grégory Gaultier , who qualified again but was unable to participate due to injury. The event hall was declared unsafe by the local building inspector due to storm damage from the previous night, so the final was postponed indefinitely. However, an alternative date could no longer be found as part of the PSA World Tour , so that the final was ultimately canceled.
