PSA World Tour Finals 2018/19

The men's PSA World Tour Finals 2018/19 took place from June 9th to 14th, 2019 in the Egyptian capital Cairo . The 24th edition of the season-ending tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2018/19 and endowed with 160,000 US dollars. The women's season-end tournament took place at the same time .

In the final, Karim Abdel Gawad prevailed against Mohamed Abouelghar with 12:10, 11: 6, 5:11, 7:11 and 12:10 and won his first title at the finals.

Qualification and mode

World champion Ali Farag was directly qualified, as were the winners of the seven tournaments in the PSA World Tour Platinum category for the 2018/19 season. All places that remained due to multiple titleholders went to the next player in the points ranking. Qualified players are marked in bold .

The preliminary round was held in two groups with four players each in a best-of-three format. Four points were awarded for a 2-0 win, three points for a 2-1 win and one point for a 2-1 defeat. In the event of a tie, the direct comparison decided. If three or more players were tied at the end, the ratio of the individual points won counted. The group winners and runners-up moved into the semi-finals, which were also played in the best-of-three format. The final was played over three sets of wins.

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. The amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 160,000.
