The winner was the world number one Raneem El Weleily , who beat Camille Serme in the final with 3:11, 8:11, 11: 7, 11: 4 and 11: 6. After two finals, it was El Weleily's first title win at the finals.
World champion Nour El Sherbini was directly qualified, as were the winners of the five tournaments in the PSA World Tour Platinum category for the 2018/19 season. All the places that were partly left by multiple title holders went to the next players in the points ranking. Qualified players are marked in bold .
The preliminary round was held in two groups with four players each in a best-of-three format. Four points were awarded for a 2-0 win, three points for a 2-1 win and one point for a 2-1 defeat. In the event of a tie, the direct comparison decided. If three or more players were tied at the end, the ratio of the individual points won counted. The group winners made it to the semi-finals, which were also played in the best-of-three format. The final was played over three sets of wins.
