Pa Modou Gai

Pa Modou Gai (also in the spelling Pa Mamadou Gai ) (born October 10, 1977 in Gambia ) is a track and field athlete from the West African state of Gambia who specializes in short distances . He took part in two Olympic Games .

Olympia 1996

Pa Modou Gai participated in two competitions at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta :

  • In the 100-meter race , Gai was assigned to the first round of the sixth group. He finished the competition in eighth place in a time of 10.72 seconds. He did not qualify for a second round.
  • In the 4 × 100 m relay competition , he ran together with Dawda Jallow , Momodou Sarr and Cherno Sowe . Gai ran as fourth of the season, which was in the run-up with 41.80 s last and thus could not qualify for the semi-finals.

Olympia 2000

Pa Modou Gai participated in a competition at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney :

  • In the 100-meter race , Gai was assigned to the first round of the first group. He finished the competition in eighth place in a time of 11.03 seconds. He did not qualify for a second round.
