Pablo Lima , full name Pablo Martín Lima Olid , (born March 26, 1981 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

According to the club, 1.80 meters tall, according to other sources 1.79 meters tall defensive player Lima was at the beginning of his career from 2001 to 2007 in the squad of the Uruguayan first division club Danubio FC . In 2004 and 2006/07 he won the Uruguayan championship with the Montevideans. In 2007 he moved to Argentina to work for Vélez Sársfield . In the 2007/08 season he scored three goals there in the Primera División . In 2008/09 he only made three other premier league appearances (no goal). In January 2009 he was loaned to league rivals Rosario Central , played 18 first division matches by the end of the season and scored two goals. In early August 2009 he returned to Vélez Sársfield and came in the following period 16 times (one goal) in the Primera División and three times (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores to train. In August 2010 his career path led to Iraklis Saloniki in Europe . He played 21 times in the Greek Superleague Ellada and scored once in the opposing goal. He also has two cup games to book. In July 2011 he started working for Colón de Santa Fe in Argentina. Until July of the following year, when he left the club for Quilmes AC , the statistics show only four league games (no goal) and two matches (no goal) in the Copa Argentina with Lima's participation. He then played for Quilmes until August 2013, completed 18 top division games and scored one goal. For around four months he then returned to the starting point of his professional career at Danubio and scored three times in the opposing goal in the 2013 Apertura in twelve first division appearances. Since December 22, 2013 he was in the ranks of Club Atlético Peñarol and ran in the Clausura 2014 in four games (no goal) of the Primera División and two games (no goal) of the Copa Libertadores 2014 . In the 2014/15 season he was used three times (no goal) in the top Uruguayan league. In July 2015, he returned to Danubio FC. In the 2015/16 season he played ten top division games (one goal).

National team

Lima was part of the 2001 Uruguayan U-20 selection that took part in the 2001 U-20 South American Championship in Ecuador . He was also a member of the Uruguayan senior team . He made his debut under national coach Víctor Púa on July 13, 2001 in a 1-0 win against Bolivia in the group game of the 2001 Copa America as a member of the starting line-up. His last appearance was on March 24, 2007 in a 2-0 away win in the international friendly against South Korea. Responsible national coach at that time was Óscar Tabárez . He made a total of 14 international matches and scored one goal.
