Mohsen Forouzan (born May 3, 1988 in Rasht ) is an Iranian football goalkeeper who is currently under contract with Esteghlal in the Persian Gulf Pro League .
Forouzan started at Shahrdari Khomam before moving to Pegah Gilan in 2003, where he also played his first professional game.
After Forouzan made his debut with Pegah Gilan, he moved to Malavan Anzali for two years in the summer of 2007 . However, he was unable to assert himself there and went back to his hometown of Rasht in the summer of 2009. He signed a contract with Damash Gilan , the successor to Pegah Gilan. He made 16 games in the Azadegan League .
After the 2009/10 season Forouzan moved within the Azadegan League to Gostaresh in Tabriz . After a strong 18 league games, he went to city rivals Tractor Sazi in the summer of 2011 .
After his transfer to Tractor Sazi , he became a regular goalkeeper in his first season and ultimately made 24 games for his club. Due to his good performances, the club landed in second place in the table and Forouzan was able to recommend himself for the national team for the first time . In the following season, however, he was only a substitute player and only played 6 games.
In the summer of 2013 Forouzan returned to Gostaresh , which had been promoted to the first division . He made 27 league games.
After a good season at Gostaresh , Forouzan got an offer from the capital club Esteghlal from Tehran , which he accepted. He hereby succeeded Mehdi Rahmati, who did not renew his contract with Esteghlal.
