Wendy Padbury (born December 7, 1947 in Warwickshire , United Kingdom) is a British actress .

life and career

As a child, Wendy Padbury became interested in ballet and took ballet lessons. However, she wasn't very good and instead started taking acting classes on Saturday mornings. Her first professional appearance was on a show called Tonight, but Padbury didn't have to speak. From 1968 to 1983 Padbury starred in the British television series Doctor Who as Zoe Heriot. After leaving Doctor Who , she first went to the theater and appeared in a few television series. Then she quit acting and became an acting agent. Her clients included Nicholas Courtney , Colin Baker, and Mark Strickson . She discovered Matt Smith , who would later become the Eleventh Doctor at the National Youth Theater. Since 2007 she has been speaking to Zoe Heriot again in Big Finish's Doctor Who radio plays . Padbury currently lives in France.
