Palčje (March 9, 2009)

Palčje is a village in the east of the municipality of Pivka on the Primorska coastal region in the Karst region of the historical Carniola in Slovenia with 208 inhabitants (2002).

The St. Nicholas consecrated local church on the market square in the center, built in the 17th century, is under the parish Trnje .

To the north of the village lies the Palčje Lake, which sometimes dries up . It is the largest of the lakes in the Pivka municipality with an average maximum water surface of one square kilometer.
