Palamede Gattilusio

Palamede Gattilusio (* around 1395, † 1455 ) was lord of Ainos from 1409 to 1455 .

He came from the respected Genoese patrician family Gattilusio and was the son of Archon Francesco II. Gattilusio of Lesbos , and his wife, an unnamed princess of Byzantium . From the marriage of Palamedes (wife not recorded by name) two sons were born.

Since the marriage of Niccolo I Gattilusio , the first lord of Ainos, remained without male descendants, after his death Palamede Gattilusio, the son of his brother Francesco II Gattilusio, Achron of Lesbos, was appointed as the new lord of Ainos.
