Paloma (cocktail)
The Paloma ( Spanish Dove ) is a cocktail of tequila and grapefruit - lemonade , in addition often with a little lime juice is refined and salt. As a simple combination of a spirit with a carbonated , alcohol-free "filler" (the lemonade), it is a typical highball or long drink . It is usually prepared directly in the drinking glass (technically "built") and served on ice cubes " on the rocks ".
The grapefruit lemonade can be made from white or red "pink" grapefruit juice ( jugo de toronja ), sugar or sugar syrup and soda water , or ready-made products are used. In German-speaking countries, the manufacturer Borco-Marken-Import, known through the Sierra Tequila brand, has been offering a cocktail-optimized lemonade called Paloma with a pink grapefruit flavor that already contains lime and salt.
