Pamplona is a Filipino municipality in the Negros Oriental Province . It has 37,596 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census).
Pamplona is 38 km north of Dumaguete City and can be reached by road from there. The community has an area of 216.70 km². 80% of the area is hilly and mountainous and lies between 300 and 800 m above sea level.
The Palaypay Falls are twelve kilometers from the main town in Baranggay Abante .
