The Panargenspitze is a 3117 m above sea level. A. high mountain peaks of the Panargenkamm in the Venediger group . The summit is in the north-west of East Tyrol in the municipality of St. Jakob in Defereggen . The Panargenspitze was first climbed on August 4, 1893 by L. Eisenreich and C. Rößler over the southern slope.

The Panargenspitze is located in the north of the Panargenkamm between Keeslenke ( 3050 m above sea level ) in the northwest and the Keeseggscharte ( 2995 m above sea level ) in the southeast, the Keeslenke the Panargenspitze from the Totenkarspitze ( 3133 m above sea level ) and the Keeseggscharte separates the Panargenspitze from the western summit of the Keesegg ( 3120 m above sea level ). The Panargenspitze is part of the Hohe Tauern National Park . To the north of the Panargenspitze lies the head of the Dabertal valley, to the south is the Schwarzachtal with the Oberhauser Zirbenwald.
Promotion opportunities
The normal route to the Panargenspitze for from the Alpengasthaus Oberhaus over a path to the Ochsenhof and then pathless over the Eggsee and the Sandbichl to a notch of the south ridge and over this to the summit ( I ). Alternatively, you can climb from the Neue Reichenberger Hütte via the Daberlenke and the central northeast ridge ( I ). Another option is to climb the west ridge from the Keeslenke ( I ).
