The Pandion AG (proper spelling PANDION) is a real estate company based in Cologne . The family company, founded in 2006, is one of the ten best-selling German project developers . Pandion's business area encompasses the entire real estate value chain including the planning, construction and sale of the properties. In addition to its headquarters in Cologne, Pandion has branches in Berlin , Munich and Stuttgart .

history

Reinhold Knodel laid the foundation of today's Pandion AG with the establishment of "Pandion Real Estate GmbH" in 2002. A year later, a specialized subsidiary for the sale of built apartments, the "Pandion Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH", followed. Initially, activities focused on projects in the home market in North Rhine-Westphalia with project developments in Cologne, Bonn and Düsseldorf . In 2006, Pandion AG was founded as a holding for the entire group of companies.

The third Pandion development project, the extensive conversion and modernization of the historic Siebengebirge storage building in Rheinauhafen Cologne (construction period 2004–2006), was awarded the North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Architects with the 2008 NRW-WOHN-Prize. In the same year, Pandion AG achieved sales of more than 50 million euros for the first time.

In 2010, under the marketing name “Pandion Vista”, the north of the three iconic crane houses at Cologne's Rheinauhafen was completed, which is the only one of the three high-rise buildings dedicated to residential use. In 2015, after Cologne and Munich, the third branch opened in Berlin.

In 2017, Pandion AG and its subsidiaries achieved a record turnover of 262 million euros. At the same time, the company rose to sixth place in the ranking of the largest German project developers with an area volume of approx. 400,000 m².

In Berlin, the company made spaces available for artistic or cultural interim uses several times before construction began, including in the “The Haus” project, which has since become the largest temporary street art gallery in the world.

In January 2019, Pandion opened a fourth branch in Stuttgart.
