The PANTAFLIX AG (to 14 August 2017: PANTALEON Entertainment AG), based in Munich, is a privately held German media company , specializing primarily in the production and marketing of movies. The business activities of Pantaflix and its subsidiaries include the development and production of films and the exploitation of the rights to these. It is one of the largest media companies in Germany.
history
In 2009 Dan Maag , Marco Beckmann and Matthias Schweighöfer founded PANTALEON Entertainment GmbH with headquarters in Berlin and branches in Frankfurt am Main and Munich . In 2014 PANTALEON Entertainment GmbH was converted into a stock corporation. The company operated under the name PANTALEON Entertainment AG from July 30, 2014 to August 14, 2017 . Since August 14, 2017, the company has been trading as PANTAFLIX AG , based in Munich. In July 2019, the new major shareholder Klemens Hallmann was elected to the Supervisory Board.

PANTAFLIX Technologies GmbH, based in Berlin , which was founded in 2016, operates the PANTAFLIX video on demand platform . The streaming service enables filmmakers and rights holders to upload and manage their productions directly via the PANTAFLIX Pro tool - this means that the films are available worldwide, including outside their home market, and the rights holders are directly involved in every loan. In addition to studio content from Disney, Warner and Studio Channel, among others, which the user can borrow for a fee, PANTAFLIX also offers free films and series for which the user does not have to register. Due to official contracts with various distributors, streaming this content is completely legal because it is ad-supported. The platform is available in four different languages in 68 countries around the world.

PANTALEON Films GmbH, based in Munich, is responsible for the company's own TV and cinema productions. The GmbH has been successfully producing films such as Mrs. Ella , Vaterfreuden or What a Man since 2013 .
PANTALEON Pictures

March & Friends GmbH is an advertising agency based in Munich, which markets brands like Krombacher in the media landscape, mainly in the field of film and television.
PantaSounds
PantaSounds GmbH, based in Munich, is the group's music label. It sells the soundtracks of the productions of the sister company Pantaleon Films and markets artists such as the label's founder, Matthias Schweighöfer. The music label is cooperating with Berlin-based Universal Music GmbH . PANTAFLIX AG holds 72.50% of the company. The managing partner Lars Ingwersen holds the remaining 27.50%.
Creative Cosmos 15
Creative Cosmos 15 GmbH, based in Munich, was founded in April 2016 by Joko Winterscheidt , Matthias Schweighöfer and Nicolas Paalzow. It is a creative and production agency, which since December 19, 2018 has been majority owned by PANTAFLIX AG with 51%.
