Paolo Tornaghi (born June 21, 1988 in Garbagnate Milanese ) is an Italian football goalkeeper who is under contract with the Vancouver Whitecaps .

Club career

Paolo Tornaghi began his career at Inter Milan , where he played for several years in various youth teams and won various titles, including the Coppa Italia Primavera 2006, the Campionato Primavera 2007 and the Torneo di Viareggio 2008. He was in Inters in the 2005/06 season Primavera, however, mainly substitute goalkeeper behind Giacomo Bindi , while Tornaghi was replaced by Vid Belec as regular goalkeeper in the 2007/08 season .

In the 2004/05 season he was part of the squad for the Champions League qualification as a player on the B list for the first time . For the 2008/09 season Tornaghi signed a professional contract and was awarded to the Italian third division club Como Calcio , where he did not have a regular place, but was able to collect first competitive game practice. In the 2009/10 season he was part of the squad of third division AC Rimini 1912 , which acquired part of the transfer rights to Tornaghi. After just one season and two appearances, Tornaghi returned to Inter Milan, but was loaned out again to Como Calcio.

In the 2011/12 season he was initially back on Inter's A-squad. At the Milanese he was only the fourth choice as a goalkeeper and did not appear in the senior team, but played a few games for the Nerazzurri youth team . After the MLS team Chicago Fire showed interest in Tornaghi in January 2012, his contract with Inter was terminated amicably and Tornaghi signed with The Fire .

National team

Between 2003 and 2007 Tornaghi belonged to various youth teams in Italy, for which he played a total of four games.
