The Papradnianka is a 21.3 kilometer long right tributary of the Waag in Okres Považská Bystrica in Slovakia . It is part of the Danube basin .

The Papradnianka rises in the Javorník Mountains on the border with the Czech Republic south of the Malý Javornik (1019 m) at a source height of around 860 m, initially flows briefly in a north-easterly direction, but turns to the southeast at Podjavornik, flowing through the towns of Papradno , Brvnište and Jasenica and flows into the Waag above Považská Bystrica at an altitude of 287.5 m .
