Parchomiwka ( Ukrainian Пархомівка ; Russian Пархомовка Parchomowka , Polish Parchomiwce ) is a village in the southwest of the Ukrainian Kiev Oblast with about 800 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in 1510, is the only settlement of the 31.834 km² district council of the same name in the east of Wolodarka Rajon .
The village is located on the banks of the Tarhan ( Тарган ), a 38 km long left tributary of the Ros , 12 km east of the Wernyhora district center and 117 km south of the Kiev oblast center .
Personalities
The legendary Ukrainian folk singer Wernyhora died in the village around 1769 .
