Park Hyo-shin (* 1. December 1981 in Yesan ) is a South Korean pop - singer .

Life

Park Hyo-shin studied Postmodern Music at Kyung Hee University . In November 1999 he made his debut with the album Things I Cannot Do For You ( 해줄수 없는 일 ), which was followed by the single Babo (dt. Idiot). With both publications he achieved a certain level of awareness.

In January 2001 the singer released his second album, Second Story , for which top Korean songwriters such as Yoon Sang, Kim Jong-Rule and Yoo Hee-Leihu contributed songs. Park achieved his first No. 1 hit with the third album Time Honored Voice , whose song A Good Person could conquer the charts. He was able to repeat this success with Standing In That Place , which is included on his fourth album Soul Tree .

Park Hyo-shin's most famous song is probably Snow Flower , which was the theme song for the popular KBS television drama I'm Sorry, I Love You , which aired in 2005. In 2005 Park also followed up with a remake album, Neo-Classicism , the song Scattered Days of which made it into the top 5 of the Korean charts.

Park Hyo-shin took a break in 2006 in preparation for his fifth album, which he completed in 2007. Memories Resemble Love ( 추억 은 사랑 을 닮아 ) made it to 3rd place.

In 2008 Park contributed with the song Hwashin ( Flower Letter ) another hit for a television series, this time for Iljimae . In the same year he was u. a. guest on Lee Hana's Peppermint music show, in which he covered the song Look only at me by Taeyang ( Big Bang ) to promote the Soul Concert , in which he worked with other R'n'B and soul stars like Wheesung , Gummy and Jung Yup participated.

Park Hyo-shin celebrated its 10th anniversary with the Park Hyo Shin's Gift concert series , which took place from October 17th to 19th, 2009 in the Olympic Fencing Gymnasium . In September 2009 the musician followed up with his 6th studio album, Gift-Part 1 . The song After Love became another No. 1 hit. One of the highlights of the year was the participation in the renowned Dream Concert 2009 of the SBS channel .

He continued this success in 2010 with the single I Love you , which was part of the soundtrack for the SBS drama Athena and which conquered the charts. Goodbye Love followed in digital format on September 13th , after which he started his Gift Part 2 Live Tour , which supported the album Gift Part 2 .

In the period from December 21, 2010 to December 24, 2012, the singer did his two-year military service in Yongsan-gu , Seoul.

Musicals

Park participated in various projects. B. on the rock musical Rock Hamlet and the tribute album for Deulgukhwa ( That Only Is My World ) and sang in a duet with the singer Lee Sora for a song on her fourth album. In 2008 he briefly joined Hwang Project as a singer, with whom he released the album Hwang Project with Park Hyo Shin Vol. And the single Hwang Project - Welcome to the Fantastic World , which differs from Park's previously published music. In 2013 Park took on the second cast of the role of "Death" in the Korean version of the musical Elisabeth .
